I just placed an order. How quickly will I get my pedal?

I'm a one person operation, so while I do my best to get things packed up and shipped out as quickly as possible it will usually be a few days before your order gets in the mail. Once it is I will provide you with a tracking number as soon as possible. All orders will be shipped from Toronto, Ontario Canada.

How much is shipping?

I'll be shipping my packages with Canada Post from Toronto, Ontario Canada, so all price and shipping time estimates are based on their calculator with those variables in mind.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes I will ship everywhere, however some locations will be expensive to ship to and if something should unfortunately happen/the pedal gets lost I will not refund any extra customs or shipping fees that you may incur once the pedal is out of my hands.

How do I power one of your pedals? Do I need a battery?

Accepted Answer

No, in fact my pedals are built without battery clips by default and use a standard Boss/1 Spot style, center pin negative, 9v adapter barrel plug. Do NOT power it with a centre pin positive plug or something like 18v as it will likely damage the pedal and it may need to be rebuilt entirely.  Nobody wants that to happen.

What is the warranty for a Black Box pedal?

All Caustic FX devices are covered under a limited lifetime warranty. Caustic FX will repair or replace any device we manufacture as long as we are in business and the necessary materials are available.  Warranty coverage includes wear-and-tear parts for two years from the date of purchase; after this period, or for any pedals purchased used, a wear-and-tear component repair fee of $15 CAD per item will apply.

The warranty does not cover normal wear to the enclosure, graphics, knobs, or hardware, nor does it cover devices that have been deliberately damaged or modified by anyone other than Caustic FX.  Any repairs involving circuit board replacement due to user damage or modification will require an additional charge, and replacement is subject to availability.

All repair work completed is covered by a 1-year repair warranty from the date of service.  If a pedal is sent in for evaluation and no issues are found, a $15 CAD bench fee will apply.  Customers are responsible for all shipping costs to and from Caustic FX.
